Dr. Diego Proano is a proud Montgomery County native who grew up just a few miles from our office. After graduating from Magruder High School, he studied Neurobiology and Physiology at the University of Maryland, College Park, before earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida, in 2009.
He began his career in the Baltimore area as part of a large multi-disciplinary rehab group, quickly becoming clinic director and gaining extensive experience in active therapy, aquatic rehab, and functional capacity evaluations. Over the years, he has also lectured on functional rehabilitation and related topics.
In practice, Dr. Proano takes an integrated approach, combining chiropractic adjustments, functional movement, active rehab, and soft tissue techniques. He believes lasting results come from addressing root causes—teaching patients how to move better, restore balance, and support the body’s natural ability to heal.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Proano treats every patient with the same care he gives his own family. Outside the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Allie, and their two young sons, Connor and Landon. They can often be found exploring local parks and bike trails, visiting farmer’s markets, or cheering on the Washington Commanders and the Maryland Terrapins basketball team.
